What did Raashi Khanna say on ‘The Sabarmati Report’?
In this session, Chetan Bhagat questioned Raashi Khanna about his upcoming film Sabarmati Report. He asked what the film was about.
In response to this, Rashi Khanna said that we have shown the truth in a different way. Rashi Khanna told that people have different versions of the truth regarding the Godhra incident. We have made the film based on the Supreme Court verdict.
The actress who grew up in Delhi became Queen of Telugu, was a topper in studies
Chetan Bhagat told Rashi Khanna that you are from West Delhi. You are called Queen of Telugu. You have studied from Lady Shri Ram College. What percentage did you get in class 12?
Rashi Khanna replied that- I had got 91 percent. I was a front bencher. I have topped both school and college. I wanted to become an IAS officer. I also wanted to become a copywriter, nanotechnologist and teacher. But then I became an actor.
Rashi further said that my parents have been very supportive. He let me go to Mumbai. However, acting is the most insecure job in the world, because sometimes you have to sit for months. But I have done many films. Have done films in every industry. So thanks to all those industries.
4 films can be done easily in a year
Rashi said that if a film is completed in 45 days, you can comfortably do 4 films. That’s why I can easily do 4 films. That’s why I have so many films coming out every year.
Is Bollywood real cinema?
Chetan asked whether you feel that you are doing so many films in South but you have done less work in Hindi. Do you ever feel that or have any sentiment that why Hindi films are not working?
Chetan further asked whether you feel that you are not getting what you need in regional cinema.
In response to this, Rashi Khanna said that see South’s films are doing very well. She is reaching out to the audience. And this is Indian cinema, not North or South. When I was young, I thought that South films only had songs and dances. But I was wrong. Very good films are made there.
Are people buying tickets and watching fewer movies now?
A separate question was asked to Rashi whether after the advent of mobile entertainment, people are going to theaters less to avoid ticket rates and other expenses.
In response to this, Rashi says – Yes, it is happening that people wait for many good films and come and watch them on OTT. But I cannot tell the real picture about this. Only the producers will tell you. Because it affects them the most. People are watching us both on OTT and in theatres.
What did Rashi Khanna say about marriage?
I want to get married and I also like children. So I want to feel that moment. I have seen many people who are living a good life after getting married. Therefore, after marriage I will also be able to tell how the marriage is.
