Cyclone Dana is affecting many districts of Bihar. It is raining with strong wind in the south-eastern areas. Heavy rains occurred in some districts including Bhagalpur, Katihar, Kishanganj, Purnia, Araria and Munger. There was light rain in Patna also late Friday evening. Maximum rainfall of 11 mm was recorded in Bhagalpur in the last 24 hours. Whereas seven mm rain was recorded in Katihar. Due to this the maximum temperature decreased by three degrees Celsius.
Cyclone has weakened in Bihar
Here, the sky is cloudy in many districts of the state including Patna on Saturday morning. The wind blowing at a speed of about 15 km brought the temperature down. People started feeling pink cold. According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of cyclone Dana is gradually decreasing. This cyclone has weakened in Bihar. However, its impact will be less by October 31. There will be light drizzle in south-eastern areas from 28th to 28th October.
Rain alert issued in 21 districts
The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in 21 districts of Bihar on Saturday. These include Patna, Jehanabad, Arwal, Nalanda, Nawada, Gaya, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Jamui, Banka, Munger, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Khagaria, Saharsa, Madhepura, Purnia, Katihar, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj. Light to moderate rain may occur in these districts. The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people to be cautious.
