The state government has given a big gift to the milk producers. By launching ‘Mini Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana’ in the state, modern dairy units will be established in the state under the scheme. This will improve the quality and quantity of milk production. Yogi government is spending Rs 10.15 crore on this scheme.

The Yogi government of the state has launched ‘Mini Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana’ to increase the national average of milk production per animal, because Uttar Pradesh is one of the major milk producing states of the country, but the state is behind the national average in terms of milk production per animal. The level is behind the average. The state currently produces an average of 3.78 liters of milk per cow, which is much less than the national average.

Dairy with 10 cows will be hi-tech

Under this scheme, the Yogi government has decided to establish hi-tech dairy units by selecting cows of high quality indigenous breeds. Under the scheme, hi-tech dairy units with a capacity of 10 cows will be established. Each unit will cost around Rs 23.60 lakh. In which both the government and the beneficiary will contribute.

These units will have high breed cows

In these units, only cows of high quality indigenous breeds like Gir, Tharparkar and Sahiwal will be purchased, which have high milk production capacity. The breed of cows selected under the scheme will be evaluated on the basis of their production capacity and quality, so that more milk production can be achieved.

Cattle shed will be constructed

Under the scheme, cattle sheds and other infrastructure will be constructed with modern technology. Puff panels will be used in these structures, so that the animals can be protected from the adverse effects of weather and their health remains better. Apart from this, modern training will also be given to cow farmers, so that they can manage and care for their animals using new technical means. Preference will be given to farmers with three years of experience in cow rearing. So that the benefits of the scheme can reach the real needy.

Small and marginal farmers will get benefits

Small and marginal farmers will directly benefit from this scheme. Besides, farmers will be introduced to scientific methods. So that the possibility of more production at lower cost increases. The objective of this scheme is not only to increase milk production, but it also aims to bring positive change in the rural society. Through the scheme, cattle herders will get new opportunities, which will not only empower them financially but will also create in them the desire to become self-reliant.
