In Fatuha area of ​​the capital Patna, seven children of the same family fell ill after drinking cold drinks. After the incident, all the children were immediately taken to Fatuha CHC (Community Health Centre), but considering their critical condition, they were referred to NMCH (Nalanda Medical College and Hospital) in Patna.

The sick children have been identified as Pragya Kumari (5), Sonam Kumari (6), Suruchi Kumari (7), Radha Kumari (8), Khesari Kumar (9), Armaan Kumar (10) and Rani Kumari (13). . All of them are children of Heera Lal Yadav, resident of Dariyapur village.

Seeing serious condition, children were referred to Patna.

According to the information, Arman Kumar had brought a half liter sealed bottle of Coca-Cola Company’s ‘Maza’ brand found on the roadside. Other children of the house also drank that cold drink by sharing it together. After some time all the children started feeling dizzy and vomiting. The family members immediately took all the children to the hospital, where doctors found their condition serious and referred them to NMCH for better treatment.

Regarding the incident, 13-year-old Rani Kumari told that her brother Arman brought a cold drink from the road, which all the children drank jointly. After this everyone became ill and were admitted to the hospital. At present everyone is being treated at NMCH in Patna.

After this incident, there is an atmosphere of concern and fear among the local people regarding poisonous cold drinks. Police and administration have started investigating the matter, so that the source of the cold drink and its quality can be investigated.
