A huge consignment of liquor has been seized in Muzaffarpur before Diwali. The special thing is that this consignment of liquor was being sold under the guise of medicines. In this regard, the police say that the surprising thing is that the mafia was smuggling liquor by taking the help of a well-known and renowned drug company to deliver the consignment to the place, which was caught by the police. A huge quantity of liquor was being smuggled along with medicines of the pharmaceutical company Aristo. During this time, the police has also arrested a liquor businessman, who is currently being interrogated. The matter is of Patahi village of Sadar police station area.

Liquor consignment was being smuggled in Punjab number truck

On this entire matter, Sadar Police Station Head Ashmit Kumar said that on the basis of secret information, it was received that a large consignment of foreign liquor from a Punjab number truck has reached Patahi of the police station area. As soon as the information about liquor smuggling was received, the police swung into action and formed a team and set out for the raid. A raid was conducted in which a huge consignment of liquor was seized. Police Station Head Ashmit Kumar told that the smugglers were getting the liquor consignment done under the guise of a big pharmaceutical company. The value of the seized liquor is estimated to be more than Rs 50 lakh. Police have arrested Mohammad Aslam, a businessman living in Ladaura police station area, from the spot. The police station chief said that preparations were being made to send the liquor consignment from the truck to the district, hence the liquor loaded in it was being loaded on two pickups. Information about backward linkage and forward linkage of the liquor businessman is being collected.
