Lord Shri Krishna said – King! To remove the fear of hell, one must take bath in the morning on Chaturdashi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. Swirl the leaves of Apamarga (chichra) over the vinegar while reciting the mantra. The mantra is as follows: –

Every sinful path, Bhramyamaanam again again. Aapdam Kilbisham Chapi Mamapahar Sarvash. Apamarg, Namaste, body, mother, shodhay. (Bhavishya Purana Uttarparva 140.9)

After this, offer prayers by reciting the names of Dharamraj (Yamraj) – Yama, Dharamraj, Mrityu, Vaivaswat, Antak, Kaal and Sarvabhutakshay. After worshiping the gods, light a lamp to escape from hell. At the time of Pradosh, lamps should be lit in the temples of Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma etc., in places like warehouse, chaitya, sabhamandap, etc.

  • To remove their fear, girls should perform Nirajan with lamps by throwing tandul (paddy slag) on ​​trees.
  • By lighting the lamps, Pradosh Vela becomes flawless and the fear of demons goes away.
  • After midnight, when everyone is asleep, the women of the house should roam around the house and come to the courtyard while playing the soup and in this way they should drive out poverty-Alakshmi from their house.
  • As soon as the morning comes, please satisfy the good men by giving them clothes, jewelery etc. and welcome the pundits with sweet words by giving them food and tambul.
  • Organize many types of carnival games etc. After noon, tie a Margpali made of Kush on a tall pillar or tree in the eastern direction of the city and worship it and then perform Havan.
  • Aarti of Margpali should be performed. This aarti grants victory. After that everyone should come out from under that turnpike.
  • The one who ties Margpali saves both his clans. King Bali should establish the idol and worship King Bali with flowers like lotus, lotus, kahar, blood lotus etc. along with fragrance, lamp, naivedya, akshat and lamps and many gifts.
