The air became bad in the evening due to smoke, burning of garbage and dust arising from the rush of vehicles in the markets during the festive season. The pollution level in the city was around 76 AQI in the afternoon, which reached 176 by 9 pm and 186 by 10 pm. After starting from the Green Zone in the morning, the city reached the Red Zone at night.
According to the Pollution Control Board, on Wednesday morning the AQI was between the Green Zone i.e. 55 AQI and in the afternoon the pollution level in the Yellow Zone i.e. 95 AQI in the city and at 10 pm it increased to the Red Zone i.e. 186 AQI. The pollution level was 176 at 9 pm, which increased by 10 AQI per cubic meter in an hour. It is clear from this that pollution in the city is increasing rapidly from evening to night. The day temperature rose by one degree to 35.2 degrees on Wednesday, but the minimum temperature has dropped by 1.5 degrees in three days to 19.6 degrees Celsius.
