Civil court clerk stabbed to death in Purnia. The murder charge has been leveled against the younger brother of the deceased wife. The incident took place near the DSA ground of the Assistant Treasurer police station area, where a civil court clerk, who had come to visit the fair with a friend, was stabbed to death by a masked man. The deceased has been identified as Gaurav Kumar, son of Ramnath Prasad, resident of Parvati Hata. On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter.
Was accused of murdering his wife
Regarding the incident, family members told that on May 20, Gaurav’s wife Priyanka Kumari had died under suspicious circumstances. After her death, Priyanka’s family members had accused Peshkar Gaurav and her parents of murder. Whereas Gaurav Byasi used to work as a clerk in the court. He was absconding after leaving home for about six months after the incident. Gaurav had filed a bail petition in the Patna High Court, where the High Court had put a stay on Gaurav’s arrest. Gaurav had come to Purnia from Patna only two days ago and was staying in a room near DSA Ground.
Wife’s younger brother accused of murder
Regarding the incident, police say that Peshkar Gaurav had come to visit the fair with his friend late on Friday evening. Meanwhile, the younger brother of the deceased’s late wife Priyanka Kumari came wearing a towel and stabbed her in the chest. Although the friends of the accused present at the spot tried to catch the accused youth, but he dodged and ran away. Friends hurriedly admitted Gaurav to Purnia GMCH for treatment, where the doctor declared him dead. The family members of the deceased allege that the younger brother of the deceased’s late wife has carried out this incident.
