Today i.e. Wednesday is the second day of the great festival of folk faith, Chhath. After bathing and eating, the Prasad of Vrati Kharna is consumed. On this day, in the evening, kheer made of jaggery and rice will be prepared and offered. Women will observe Nirjala fast and offer Arghya to the setting Sun on the next day i.e. Thursday evening and on Friday, they will offer Arghya to the rising Sun and pray for the well-being of their children and family. Kharna Puja on the second day of Chhath Puja also has special significance. Kharna is one of the most important puja days of Chhath Puja. Chhathi Maiya arrives on this day after which devotees start a 36-hour waterless fast. This year, a special coincidence is taking place on Kharna Puja, which astrologers consider very auspicious. Know when is the auspicious time of Kharna Puja.
Brahma Muhurta is from 04:59 am to 05:52 am on Wednesday. Sunrise is at 06:45 AM and sunset time is 09:26 PM. According to Pandit Anant Chaudhary, this year Kharna Puja is being performed in Mool Nakshatra, which is considered very auspicious in Sanatan. The auspicious time of Kharna Puja is from 05:29 to 07:48 pm. Sukarma Yoga is being formed with Purvashadha Nakshatra. Worshiping Kharna in this Nakshatra brings happiness and prosperity in the house. By doing puja in this auspicious time, the devotees get special results and blessings.
Who is worshiped in Chhath Kharna Puja?
The second day of Chhath Puja is called Kharna. This time Kharna is on 6th November i.e. Wednesday. Kharna Prasad is made on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. On this day, mothers keep fast throughout the day and after the puja, they start the 36-hour waterless fast by eating Kharna Prasad. On this day, prasad is made by lighting fire with mango wood in an earthen stove.
When is the first Arghya and second Arghya of Chhath?
On the third day of Chhath Puja, Arghya is offered to the setting Sun God while standing in a river or pond in the evening. This time the first Arghya will be offered on 7th November i.e. Thursday. In this, by placing fruits, sugarcane, rice laddu, thekua and other ingredients in bamboo soup, worship is done while standing in water. Arghya is offered to the rising sun on the fourth and last day of Chhath Puja. This time the second Arghya will be offered on Friday, November 8. On this day, devotees break their fast. They also wish for the long life and good future of their children.
