GK: The 3rd king in playing cards has a mustache, why not the 4th? Hardly anyone would know the real reason!

Cards are a game that is played with different rules and regulations in different parts of the world. The types of games may be different, but the cards are of the same type. There are 52 cards in a deck of cards. There are 4 kings in these 52 cards. However, they are of different types. But there is one special thing about these kings. That is, 3 kings have a mustache (Why King of Hearts dont have Mustache), while 1 does not. Have you ever wondered what would be the real reason for this? Let us tell you.

First of all, know the important things about playing cards. As we mentioned earlier, there are 52 cards in the playing cards (Only 3 kings have mustache in cards why). It consists of 10 cards from ace to jack, apart from king, queen and jack. There are 4 types of these leaves, which are- Betel, Chiri, Brick and Spades. That means 13 cards of 4 types each, which makes 52 in total. There are 4 kings in all four types. But the look of Lal Paan Badshah is completely different from the other three. He doesn’t have a moustache.

The king has no mustache
You will see a similar look of the King of Red Paan in almost every playing card. According to reports, when the card game started, the King of Hearts used to have a moustache. According to the Technology.org website, the cards that exist today were designed in 15th century France.

the mustache disappeared
During that time kings used to have moustaches. Then the design of the card was copied using a wooden stamp. After that it was carved by hand. Over time the wooden blocks would deteriorate and the design would fade. Same thing happened with Lal Paan Badshah block also. With time, the mustache mark disappeared from the wood and the designer designed this leaf without mustache. This sequence continued. Although many countries changed the design as per their wish, the basic design remained the same. The mustache of the King of Hearts is made in Russia.

Ax turned dagger
You will notice one more thing. The dagger in the king’s hand. This is also because of the wooden block. The wooden block impacted the king’s axe, along with his moustache. In the beginning, the King of Lal Paan had an ax in his hand. But when the card was copied from the block, the front part of the ax started getting blurred and only the wood in the hand became visible like a knife. From then on the ax started taking the form of a dagger. Now looking at this design it seems that the king is stabbing himself. For this reason, King of Heart is also called Suicide King.
