Shahdara Narcotics Cell has arrested a smuggler who was supplying heroin in Delhi and NCR by impersonating a policeman wearing khaki paint. Police have recovered 334 grams of heroin from the smuggler. The accused used to bring consignment from Bareilly and supply it in Delhi and NCR. This accused, who has been smuggling heroin since 2001, has already been arrested by the Crime Branch and Special Cell of Delhi Police.

The arrested smuggler has been identified as Subhash Chand Jaiswal, resident of Mohalla Para Kanoon Goan Bareilly. The police officer said that on November 5, the Narcotics Cell had received information about heroin being brought to 70 Foot Road near Seemapuri Bus Terminal. After confirming the information, a team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Ajay Kumar Singh.

The police team laid siege there. The police team saw a person standing there at around 9.15 pm, who was caught by the police. His bag was thoroughly searched. From that the police found 334 grams of heroin. During interrogation, the accused told that he has been supplying smack and other banned substances in Delhi and NCR since 2001. He has already been arrested by the Special Cell and Crime Branch of Delhi Police. He is involved in four cases. He told that he used to supply heroin to Pramod, a resident of Nand Nagari. The recovered heroin was brought from Bareilly resident Shyam Gupta.
