After killing Ekta in Green Park, Kanpur, gym trainer Vimal took her body in his car and went straight to the Officers Club. Parked the car outside the main gate. Then he opened the lock of the small gate leading to the club from inside the DM’s residential complex and entered it. Opened the main gate and brought the car inside, deepened the already dug pit with the help of a shovel, buried the body and then fled away.
He told this during interrogation. All this took him about 45 minutes. During this time neither anyone stopped him nor anyone interrogated him. During interrogation, he also made it clear that he had murdered Ekta inside the car in the parking lot of Green Park. Before this, both of them had remained in the parking lot for about half an hour.
