Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024: Amidst the Jharkhand Assembly elections, JMM leader Dharnidhar Mandal was expelled by the party for six years. Now he has joined BJP. It is being told that he was angry at not getting the ticket from Sindri assembly seat and had resigned. After which he was expelled.
Apart from Dharnidhar, Shailendra Mandal also joined BJP. He was given membership by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. Dharnidhar is the son of Phoolchand Mandal, a three-time MLA from Sindri assembly seat. Phoolchand Mahato had won the assembly elections in 2000, 2009 and 2014.

Familyism dominated in Sindri
JMM is contesting elections in Jharkhand under India alliance. Sindri seat has been given to CPI-ML. However, nepotism remained dominant in ticket distribution. Male has given ticket to Chandradev Mahato, son of four-time MLA Anand Mahato.
Father had returned to BJP in 2014
Let us tell you that before Dharnidhar, his father Phoolchand Mandal had also joined BJP in 2014. He got the ticket and became MLA but in 2019 he asked for the ticket for his son Dharnidhar, but he did not get the ticket, after which Phoolchand got angry. He returned to JMM. In 2019, Phoolchand Mandal had contested the elections from JMM but was defeated by Inderjit Mahato of BJP.
Let us tell you that before this, Hemant Soren’s proposer Mandal Murmu had joined BJP. After which he was threatened on social media. The police had also arrested a person in this regard.
