Purnia Police team has exposed the newborn child trafficking gang. Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested three smugglers including a woman. Besides, a 10 to 12 day old newborn baby, which was being sold for Rs 1 lakh, has also been recovered. ASP Alok Ranjan, while exposing the newborn baby smuggling gang, said that the members of the smuggling gang were looking for customers for the sale of a 10 to 12 day old newborn baby. The SP was receiving information for the last one month that members of the child smuggling gang in the city, whose mobile number is 7970932267, are engaged in horse trading. There was talk of taking one lakh rupees for the purchase of a newborn baby. On the instructions of the SP, a raid team was formed under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Shatrughan Mandal and Police Inspector Lal Bahadur. Some members of this group were made to talk to the arrested smuggler by posing as buyers. The accused child traffickers kept calling the policemen posing as buyers to different places in Purnia. During the conversation, it was finally decided to hand over the newborn to Satyam Dharam Kanta of K Nagar police station area for one lakh rupees. The police team in plain clothes reached Dharam Kanta with one lakh rupees and arrested the accused involved in smuggling on the spot. taken.
ASP said that the newborn child recovered during preliminary interrogation of the arrested smugglers is from Purnia district. He told that three more people are involved in this gang, raids are going on to arrest them. He told that the arrested woman Sangeeta Rani works as a child delivery worker in various hospitals of the city. Inquiries revealed that the gang members have so far sold two newborn babies.
