Patiala House Court will decide on November 20 whether the alleged terrorism financing case against jailed Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid should be transferred to the designated MP/MLA court. Additional Sessions Judge Chandrajit Singh had said that since Rashid is now an MP, the case could go to the special court to hear the cases of MPs.
On Wednesday, he had adjourned the hearing of the case after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) sought time to argue the case. The judge had earlier reserved the bail order in this case. He had stressed that he would first consider the issue of jurisdiction and would also consider whether the case should be transferred to the special court or not. The judge had adjourned the order on bail to November 19.
