Similarly, the famous Bikaneri pickles and namkeen of Rajasthan are in highest demand in Jaipur in winter and people from Bikaner come here with pickles and namkeen in the fairs held in Jaipur. A huge crowd of people is gathering to buy pickles and snacks from Bikaner in the Silk and Handicraft Fair going on at Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur.

In Jaipur, real Bikaneri namkeen and pickle reaches Jawahar Kala Kendra every month. Whose demand remains even abroad. Currently, 101 varieties of Bikaneri namkeen are available in the fair. The most famous of which are many namkeens like Barik Bhujiya, Kadka Bhujiya, Desi Chana and Falhari Namkeen. Also, more than 15 types of pickles are available, which are in highest demand in Jaipur. People come here from far and wide to buy pickles.

Why is Bikaneri pickle and namkeen famous?

At the Silk and Handicraft Fair, the pickle and namkeen traders from Bikaner say that the taste of Bikaneri pickles and namkeen is not found anywhere else in the entire Rajasthan. It is prepared in a special way in Bikaner. Ramesh Kumar told Local 18 that Bikaneri pickles and namkeen are prepared with pure homemade spices. This is the reason why its taste is different from everyone else. Also, there is no adulteration of any kind in the pickle, which can cause harm to the body. Therefore, people like Bikaneri pickle the most for both taste and health. Bikaner pickle is in highest demand in Jaipur especially during the winter season. Apart from pickles, people also like the taste of different types of namkeen. Currently, Bikaneri Namkeen is being sold here at Rs 360 to Rs 380 per kg, which people are buying in large quantities.

100 types of snacks and pickles also available

Ramesh Kumar, a namkeen and pickle trader from Bikaner, says that there are 5 to 6 types of pickles available in the markets, but here we have 15 types of pickles and more than 100 types of namkeen available at one place, which people can buy for themselves. Can buy as per taste. Currently, there are many varieties of famous pickles of Bikaner in the fair including curry pickle, amla pickle, chilli pickle, mango pickle, carrot pickle, tomato pickle, radish pickle, fenugreek pickle, bitter gourd pickle, ginger pickle and turmeric pickle. Ramesh Kumar says that people come to the fair to buy anything, but they definitely buy food items and especially namkeen, pickles and dry fruits throughout the year.
