Expansion
A special clinic will be started in AIIMS from Thursday for proper treatment of myopia (nearsightedness) in children. This problem is increasing rapidly in children due to increased screen time after the Corona epidemic. In this problem, distant objects appear blurred, but nearby objects remain clear. During this period, it is common for children to have eye fatigue or headache and difficulty in seeing distant objects without narrowing the eyes.
Myopia often develops between the ages of 6 and 12. This may increase further until the eye is fully developed. There could be a genetic reason behind this disease. In this, if parents have myopia, there is a greater possibility of it occurring in children. At the same time, looking at nearby things for a long time, such as reading books or spending time on mobile screens, can also increase myopia.
Disabled people will get many facilities
18-20 thousand patients reach AIIMS every day. A large number of these are disabled patients, for them a special facility has been started in AIIMS. The names of every department and their instructions are written in brain script. Now the disabled will not have to wander here and there for help.
