Tis Hazari Court on Saturday issued notice to Delhi Police on the revision petition of Bibhav Kumar in the case of attack on Swati Maliwal. In this, the cognizance of the charge sheet filed against him has been challenged. His case is pending in the court. Additional Sessions Judge Abhishek Goyal has issued a notice to Delhi Police seeking response on the petition. The hearing of the case has been listed for next month. Advocates Manish Baidwan, Rajat Bhardwaj and Karan Sharma appeared on behalf of Kumar. Advocate Manish Baidwan has filed a revision petition challenging the cognizance.

Bibhav Kumar, accused in the case of alleged assault on Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, had recently challenged the cognizance of the charge sheet filed against him. He had filed a revision petition in the court. At present, his case was pending in Tis Hazari Court.

Swati Maliwal is accused of assault

On the complaint of Swati Maliwal, an FIR was registered against Bibhav Kumar, the PA of former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Maliwal had said in the complaint that when she had gone to meet Arvind Kejriwal at the CM residence on May 13, Bibhav assaulted her.

On the complaint of Maliwal, the police arrested Bibhav Kumar on May 18. Police said that Bibhav Kumar was not cooperating in the investigation. Bibhav approached the trial court on May 27 for bail, but after the bail was rejected, he appealed to the sessions court. After being disappointed from there too, Bibhav approached the High Court, but the High Court also refused to give relief to Bibhav. Now Bibhav has moved the Supreme Court against the decision of the High Court. Was granted bail from the Supreme Court.
