Talking about the film on ‘Digital Commentary’, the actor said that the film producer-director had described him as perfect for the role of the villain.
Talking about the film on ‘Digital Commentary’, Kabir said, “When I was offered a role in the film, I liked it and I wanted this role to be very scary and dangerous. I was successful in it to a great extent. I was in America at the time for a series with Tom Selleck and after finishing the shoot, I was sitting on the beach.”
The actor told, “Meanwhile I got a call from Rakesh Roshan and he said I am making a film and I want to cast you as a hero, on this I said ‘Very good, but is there any strike for actors in Bollywood? That’s what you’re calling me.’
Kabir further said that on my point he told that in the film the hero becomes the villain later and if I take another hero then he will not be able to do this film. Only you can be both a hero and a villain.
Kabir Bedi jumped with joy after hearing Rekha’s name.
After this, excited Kabir asked about the actress acting in the film and Rakesh told that Rekha is in the film. Kabir said that when I heard Rekha’s name, I became very happy. I immediately said yes because Rekha was the queen of Bollywood at that time.
The actor said, “When successful film makers like Rakesh Roshan say that I have to work with Rekha, then how can I refuse?” The 78-year-old actor jokingly said that I came back and did the film. Pushed aside and then I went back to shooting the series.”
