A case of theft has come to light in a house in Meenakshipuram Colony in Narayanpur Dafi of Lanka police station area of Varanasi district. All the members of the house had gone to a palace for the tilak and engagement ceremony. Meanwhile, the thieves searched the house and fled with cash and jewellery. It has been reported that more than Rs 40 lakh was stolen with stolen goods and cash. The police is investigating the case
This is the whole matter
Ashwani Kumar Rai told that the daughter’s tilak and engagement ceremony was organized at Aryavi Hospital near Alka Palace, Amra Akhari Square. After this, when the family members reached home at around 11 pm, the lock of the gate outside was broken. After entering the house, the thieves broke the door along with the lock of the room.
15 lakh rupees in cash and gold jewelery kept in the room, which included 11 rings, 6 ear tops, two big mangalsutra, two chains, one set of necklace, two bracelets, four bangles, anklets and silver thali- plate and glass whose estimated value Was 25 lakhs. The thieves took away cash and jewellery. The incident was reported on 112 and Lanka police station was also informed. The police reached the spot and started investigating, but no clue has been found yet.
Shanti Prakash alias Pintu told that when the incident of theft at home was reported at night, the police was informed. Along with the police investigation, the forensic team also collected information from the spot. The victim demands that the matter should be disclosed soon and the stolen goods should be recovered. On the other hand, the police is busy investigating.
