Yamuna Industrial Development Authority (YIDA) is preparing to establish a new city in Tappal and Hathras of Aligarh district adjacent to Yamuna Expressway. A master plan has been prepared for this. Preparations are already underway to build a logistics hub here and the process of land acquisition for this has started.
In the first phase, the work of building an urban center is going on in Agra. In the second phase, there is a plan to establish new cities in Tappal of Aligarh, Bajna of Mathura and Hathras. In the initial phase, only urban centers will be planned in Raya in Mathura district and Tappal-Bajna in Aligarh. The remaining notified areas are currently included in the green category. This will give impetus to residential, commercial and institutional activities along with industries.
City Magistrate and Land Acquisition Officer Ramshankar said that apart from Tappal Urban Center, Multi Model Logistics Hub is also proposed in the Master Plan Phase-II of YIDA. The proposal to acquire land for the logistics hub has already been sent to the Aligarh district administration. For Tappal-Bajna Urban Centre, YIDA has sent a proposal to acquire a total of 1512.6383 hectares of land in two parts. The department is busy in matching the identified land. There are many gates in the proposal which have already been acquired for the Yamuna Expressway. Now a revised proposal has been sent by YIDA.
Urban center will be constructed in the notified area of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority in Tappal Panchayat of Aligarh district. A demand has been made to nominate an agency for Social Impact Assessment (SIA) of the identified land through a nominated agency. Through this, the social and economic impact of the project will be assessed and other details will be collected.– Ramshankar, City Magistrate and Land Acquisition Officer
