Gadar 3: Gadar fame actor Utkarsh Sharma is in the news for the upcoming film Vanvas. The film is going to hit the theaters soon. Utkarsh Sharma is busy in promotion in full swing. Utkarsh Sharma has become a famous star after working in blockbuster films like Gadar and Gadar 2. Now the actor has talked about Gadar 2 and Gadar 3.
After the success of Gadar 2, why did he choose a film like Vanvas? While talking to DNA India, Utkarsh Sharma said- ‘When we got so much love for Gadar 2, we decided to make a film which is more than a responsibility for us. Where we can give something back to the society. That’s why my father broke the trend and made a film like Vanvas.
Talking about the upcoming film, he said- ‘It is a mix of social drama and masala entertainment movie. We are not just giving a social message but there is a story in it, which will attract everyone.
There was this doubt about Gadar 2
Let us tell you that Gadar 2 was directed by Anil Sharma. The film broke many records upon its release. Now Utkarsh told that while bringing the sequel of Gadar after 22 years, we had doubts about its relevance.
He said- ‘Before anyone else, we had doubts about Gadar 2. This is why it took so much time to bring the film. Gadar 1 was a complete film. But when fans demanded Gadar 2, Papa said that the sequel should be an extension of the first part. Many people suggested making a standalone film with different actors. But Papa knew that the franchise had a lot of fans and he would not accept anyone other than Sunny Deol (Tara Singh) and Ameesha Patel (Sakina). Then we came up with the story of Gadar 2.
When will Gadar 3 come?
Regarding Gadar 3, Utkarsh said- ‘We have a one liner for the film. That’s why we ended Gadar 2 with ‘Aage Jaari Rahega’. We don’t have the complete story yet. It may take one day or 1000 days or years. But as soon as we lock the script of Gadar 3, then we can tell when the third installment will come.
