There was heavy firing in Samastipur due to a dispute between Patidars. One person from both sides died in this. The incident took place in Hetanpur Karimnagar village of Mohiuddin Nagar police station area of the district. It is being told that there was enmity going on between the two families for a long time. There was a dispute between the two parties late Saturday night. The dispute quickly turned into a bloody game. There was firing from both sides. Two people died in this. The condition of the third one is critical. He is undergoing treatment.

There was panic in the area after the incident. A crowd of people gathered nearby. Here, as soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating. Local people say that there is a long standing rivalry between the families of Tapeshwar Singh and Ajay Singh, due to which disputes have taken place many times. Panchayat has also been organized in the village. But, the matter was not resolved. SP Ashok Mishra said that on receiving information about the incident, Patori DSP and police officer have been sent to the spot. The deceased have been identified as Naveen Singh (47), son of Tapeshwar Singh of Karimnagar, Gaurav Singh (33), son of Ajay Kumar Singh. Saurabh Singh is undergoing treatment. Further action is going on in the matter.

Krishna Kumar Singh, father-in-law of deceased Naveen Singh, told that Naveen was returning home after taking medicines on Saturday night. Meanwhile, their Patidar Gaurav Singh along with his men attacked them. He was seriously injured in the firing. We took him to PHC for treatment but seeing his condition serious, the doctor referred him to Sadar Hospital. Krishna Singh alleged that Gaurav and Saurabh Singh also do liquor business. Naveen was the Deputy Sarpanch, due to which he kept giving information to the police station also. This also became a reason for murder. On the other hand, Suraj Kumar Singh from the other party told that Naveen Singh and his son Aditya brutally beat Gaurav and Saurabh Singh and then shot both of them. Gaurav died in this. Saurabh’s condition is critical. Behind the incident, there is a dispute going on between the Patidars regarding land.
Raids are going on to arrest the accused
Patori DSP BK Medhavi said that the investigation so far has revealed that Naveen Singh and his men beat up and fired at Gaurav and Saurav due to old enmity. Gaurav Singh died in this. After the incident, Gaurav’s family members also beat Naveen Singh severely and later he died. After this incident, apart from Mohiuddin Nagar, police from Patori Mohanpur etc. police stations are setting up camp in the village. After the incident, raids are going on to arrest the accused.
