After a long wait, fertilizer has started reaching cooperative societies in Bareilly district. Along with this, a crowd of farmers has also started gathering. On Tuesday morning, crowds of farmers reached many committees to collect DAP. There was also pushback on some committees. It even reached the point of fighting among the farmers. Farmers also created ruckus when the secretary did not arrive by 11 am. A huge crowd gathered at Sunaur Deshnagar Instrument Cooperative Society of Bhadpura development block.
DAP being purchased from private companies
Till now, only IFFCO and farmers’ DAP and urea have been distributed in resource cooperative societies, but since last one and a half month, IFFCO’s DAP is not coming. All the cooperative societies in the district have become vacant. Wheat sowing is affected. Due to this, the Saadhan Cooperative Union has started purchasing DAP from private companies. On Monday, 152 tonnes of DAP was purchased from PPL company. He was sent to about eight committees of Amla tehsil area. AR Cooperative Brijesh Singh Parihar said that till Monday night, 343 tonnes of DAP is arriving from NFL company and 180 tonnes from IPL company. He will be sent to other tehsil areas including Baheri and Faridpur.
IFFCO’s DAP also expected to arrive
AR Cooperative said that IFFCO’s DAP is also expected to come. It is being told that its rack has been installed. Probably around 1300 tonnes of DAP will be available in four-five days.
