Israel-Iran War: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made a big claim amid the Israel-Iran conflict. Netanyahu says that an important part of Tehran’s nuclear program was also destroyed in the air strike carried out by the Israeli Air Force (IDF) on Iran in October. This has also dealt a blow to Iran’s big dream of acquiring nuclear weapons. Apart from this, Iran’s missile program has also suffered huge damage in the IDF air strikes.
According to the Jerusalem Post, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said that a key component of Iran’s nuclear program was affected in Israel’s October 26 attack. However, he did not give any information about the identity of that component. He also said that despite the successful attack by the IDF, Iran’s path to nuclear weapons has not been completely closed. On October 26, the Israeli Air Force launched a massive attack on several Iranian military bases. This Israeli attack was a response to the attack of 200 ballistic missiles fired by Iran.
Russia’s air defense system destroyed
PM Netanyahu said that in April this year, one of the four batteries of the Russian air defense system S-300 deployed in the area around Tehran was destroyed in an IDF attack. At the same time, the remaining three batteries were also destroyed in the attack that took place in the month of October. Apart from this, Iran’s ballistic missile manufacturing and solid fuel production capacity has been significantly damaged.
The conflict between the two countries has been going on for a long time
The conflict between Israel and Iran has been going on for a long time. The enmity between the two reached the stage after Israel’s attack on Gaza in October 2023. Since then, both the countries have continued missile and air attacks on each other. Due to this, tension still persists between the two countries.
