At that time when Rehman asked about changing his name, the astrologer suggested the names Abdul Rehman and Abdul Rahim. AR Rahman said, “He suggested the names Abdul Rahman and Abdul Rahim. He said any name would be fine for me. I liked the name Rahman. There was a Hindu astrologer who gave me my Muslim name.
