There is a by-election on Sisamau seat in Kanpur, for which voting has started in all the polling stations. The nomination process for the by-election went on from 18 to 25 October. After the withdrawal of nominations on October 30, the names of five candidates were finalized in Sisamau. Among them, Suresh Awasthi from BJP, Naseem Solanki from SP, Virendra Shukla from BSP and two independent candidates are in the fray. Their fate will be decided by 2.71 lakh voters.

BJP workers create ruckus over being stopped from voting

Naseem Solanki said – Police is tearing the slip

500 women police personnel deployed to stop fake voting of women
For the first time, the Commissionerate Police has taken a major effort to stop fake voting, especially by women, in the Sisamau by-election. Five hundred women police personnel have been deployed at all the polling stations. BSF, CRPF and PAC at each booth
