The remaining 437 cases of applications for appointments are being verified. The LG has directed the Revenue Department to organize special camps for early disposal of these applications.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Thursday distributed appointment letters to 47 victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Tilak Vihar. During the interim period, 6 additional such letters will be issued to the nominated heirs of the beneficiaries who have crossed the service age. After nearly four decades, the LG had relaxed the eligibility criteria for recruitment of victims of 1984 riots.
