Police Conducted Raids In Five States And Recovered 555 Mobile Phones – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

Shahdara District Police of Yamunapar has conducted raids in five other states including Delhi and recovered 555 mobile phones worth more than Rs 2 crore. Police have caught 45 snatchers and robbers during Operation Vishwas conducted across the country. More than 376 accused have been sent to jail in this operation.

According to DCP Prashant Gautam, a special team was formed on April 1, 2024 to recover the stolen and seized mobiles from Shahdara district. After technical analysis, the team of ASI Deepak Kumar, Head Constable Manoj Kumar, Gagandeep and Tejveer Singh found that mobiles stolen and looted from various police stations of Shahdara district were found moving in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Bihar. The police team analyzed the IMEI numbers and CDR of all the mobiles to identify them. After this, 14 teams were formed under the leadership of DCP. These teams conducted raids in all the states and recovered mobiles.

Campaign conducted in two phases

The police officer said that Operation Vishwas was conducted in two phases. The first phase ran from April to July. During this period, 311 stolen mobile phones were recovered, while the second phase ran from October 1 to December 15. During this period, 244 stolen mobiles were recovered. Criminals sell the recovered mobile phones for Rs 3000 to Rs 5000 depending on the model of the phone. He said that out of 555 mobiles recovered, 150 mobiles were tracked with the help of CEII portal of the Government of India.
