To offer tarpan to the ancestors, first of all take Kusha in your hand. After taking Kusha, join both hands and remember your ancestors. After meditating the ancestors, they should be invited. While inviting them, one should chant the mantra ‘Om Aagchhantu Mein Pitar Aur Grihnantu Jalanjalim’. Offer water along with Kusha.
