Keeping in mind the interest of the farmers, the central and state governments are running many schemes, so that the cost of farming can be reduced and the income of the farmers can increase. The Rajasthan government has taken a big initiative to make arrangements for crop irrigation. Under the National Horticulture Mission, in the year 2024-25, the Horticulture Department is giving subsidy for creating community water sources in the Scheduled Tribe category.
Under the National Horticulture Mission, in the year 2024-25, the Horticulture Department has got the target of one farmer of community water source (100x100x3) meter size or 4 farmers of (50x50x3) meter size in the Scheduled Tribe category. To create a community water source, a subsidy of Rs 20 lakh per unit will be given on the construction of a community water source of (100x100x3) meter size by a group of farmers with minimum 500 micron plastic film and RCC lining of prescribed BIS criteria for a command area of 10 hectares. Or for making other small size water sources of minimum (50x50x3) meters, relaxation will be given as per the command area (on prorata basis).
These conditions must be fulfilled
To avail the benefits of the scheme, there are some conditions which the farmer has to fulfill. In which to create a water source, it is mandatory for the farmer group to have 10 hectares of land at one place. For a small water source of minimum (50x50x3) meter size, 2.50 hectares of land will be required.
The minimum number of farmers will be three
The minimum number of farmers to create a water source for a farmer group has been kept at three. In which husband and wife will be included in a single unit. The farmer group is required to cultivate horticulture crops with micro irrigation methods as per 4 hectare area for 10 hectare command area after rain water is accumulated after construction of water source.

These forms will be required
Farmers and farmer groups will have to construct a community water source in their private land. Jamabandi (not older than 6 months) and map trace will have to be attached with the application as proof of owning private land.
