Shyam Benegal Last Rites: Indian cinema’s veteran filmmaker and director Shyam Benegal passed away on Monday (December 23, 2024). Due to kidney related diseases, the film maker breathed his last in Mumbai at the age of 80. The entire cinema world is in mourning due to the demise of Shyam Benegal. The last rites of the film maker will be performed today.
Veteran film maker Shyam Benegal will join Panch Tatva today. The mortal remains of the filmmaker will be kept at his home on Peddar Road for his last glimpse. His last journey will be taken out today after 12 noon. After this, he will be given his last farewell at the crematorium located in Shivaji Park, Dadar at 2 pm. His last rites will be performed at Shivaji Park Electric Crematorium.
