Method of cleaning cabbage (easy way to clean cabbage leaves)
– Some people divide the cabbage in half from the middle and cut it with a knife simultaneously. Don’t do this. First of all, remove two-three layers of leaves from the top of the cabbage and throw them away. There are more insects, pesticides and dust on them. Now instead of cutting, keep separating each leaf with your hands. Never eat this vegetable raw. Do not use in salad. Once the leaves separate, wash them thoroughly two-three times in water.
– Now put water in a pan and keep it on gas. Add half teaspoon salt and half teaspoon turmeric powder in it. When the water is hot, add the leaves. Turn off the gas and leave it like this for 15-20 minutes. In this way all the dirt and insects will be removed.
– You pour water in a bowl. Add 3-4 tablespoons white vinegar in it. Add cabbage in it and leave it for 15-20 minutes. The insects stuck on the cabbage will come out in the water with the help of vinegar. This will also reduce the effect of pesticides. Vinegar is a natural disinfectant. Due to this, the stuck insects and dirt become loose and come out.
– Neem oil will be available in the market. Spray it on chopped cabbage in water or without water. You can also wash the cabbage thoroughly in soap water.
-Nowadays vegetable sanitizer is also available in the market. It can be used to clean vegetables. With this, harmful insects, bacteria, pesticides, dirt etc. can be removed.
