There was a fierce fight between the women security personnel and the students at the Proctorial Board on the charge of burning the copy of Manu Smriti in BHU. After the clash that lasted for 30 minutes, late at night the police arrested 10 students and sent them to Lanka police station. At the same time, two-three girl students were also interrogated.

On Wednesday night, members of Bhagat Singh Chhatra Morcha had come near the Arts Faculty intersection to celebrate Manusmriti Dahan Diwas. Security guards were also active after receiving information about this matter. Here, as soon as the students set fire to the copy of Manusmriti, the security guards stopped them. Then there was a fierce fight and scuffle between the girl students and the female security personnel.
When they were being made to sit in the Proctorial Board van, there was a fierce scuffle with the women security personnel. Hair was also pulled. After a long uproar, the fight was somehow controlled. After this a complaint was lodged in Lanka police station.
Lanka Police Station Head Shivakant Mishra said that a case is being registered on the complaint of the Chief Proctor. A case is being registered against them for misbehaving with the security personnel of the Proctorial Board, assaulting the security officers, disturbing religious harmony and trying to burn the Manusmriti copy. Law and order will not be allowed to deteriorate in any way.
