Ugly Completes 10 Years: It has been 10 years since actor Vineet Kumar Singh’s film ‘Ugly’ was released. On this occasion, he said that this film not only challenged him as an actor regarding the role, but also taught him a lot.
Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the dark-thriller ‘Ugly’ revolves around the kidnapping of a little girl. Vineet played the role of a casting director in the film.
Talking about the film, Vineet said, “This is a film which will always be close to my heart. ‘Ugly’ gave me an opportunity to be a part of Anurag sir’s brilliant vision and explore a character that was interesting. The film not only challenged me as an actor, but also taught me a lot in life.”
‘Ugly’ was premiered at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. The film received praise at Ladakh International Film Festival, New York Indian Film Festival and other festivals.
Anurag Kashyap shot the film in a different way
To make the film, Kashyap had selected such artists who could connect with the characters of the film. The special thing about the film is that Kashyap shot the entire film without giving any script to the actors. During the shooting, he used to give information about the scene to the actor and let him express his feelings. The camera remained on during that time.
According to the information, Rahul Bhat had to cry in one scene. Kashyap kept talking to him for three hours for this scene and finally Rahul broke down and started crying and that scene was captured on camera.

‘Ugly’ is a Hindi language thriller film made in the year 2013. Along with directing the film, Anurag Kashyap has also co-produced and written it. The film is produced by Phantom Films and DAR Motion Pictures.
In the film with a strong cast, Abir Goswami is also in an important role along with Surveen Chawla, Rahul Bhat, Ronit Roy, Tejaswini Kolhapuri, Vineet Kumar Singh, Girish Kulkarni and Anshika Srivastava. Let us tell you that Alia Bhatt also played a small role in the film.
