Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who became the Prime Minister of the country after being an economist and Finance Minister, died on Thursday night in Delhi AIIMS. He was admitted to AIIMS at 8.06 pm on Thursday night and then AIIMS Delhi confirmed his death by releasing the information at 9:51 pm. Hearing the news of his demise, the Chief Minister expressed deep condolences. After receiving information about his demise, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has postponed his Pragati Yatra program for two days on 27 and 28 December.

Admitted to AIIMS due to ill health

According to Dr. Reema, Professor-in-charge of Media Cell of AIIMS Delhi, Dr. Manmohan Singh’s health suddenly worsened on Thursday evening. He was hurriedly admitted to AIIMS at 8.06 pm. Dr. Manmohan Singh had become unconscious. His treatment started but there was no effect. AIIMS Delhi confirmed his death by issuing a death notice at 9:51 pm. As soon as the news of his demise was received, a wave of mourning ran across the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and all the leaders across the country have expressed grief over the demise of Dr. Manmohan Singh. The Government of India has declared seven days of national mourning on his death. Congress has also postponed all its programs.

Now the Chief Minister will come on this date

After Chief Minister Nitish Kumar got information about the demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, he postponed his Pragati Yatra program for two days on 27 and 28 December. There was a program in Muzaffarpur on 27th December, while the program on 28th December was in Vaishali. Now under the new program only the programs of Muzaffarpur and Vaishali will be held on 5th and 6th January.
