The administration has so far confirmed five suspicious deaths. Five are being treated in Sadar Hospital, the rest are being referred. Admitted and Referred Most of the patients have come with complaints of low vision. Even though the administration is not accepting death due to spurious liquor, but after these deaths, 16 people have been arrested for smuggling and selling liquor. Nabiganj OP president Suraj Prasad and watchman Mohd Shameel have been suspended. In the investigation of the police so far, it has been revealed that this poisonous liquor was made from the spirit called in the name of making sanitizer.
26 sick from village, PHC to Sadar Hospital
There were two deaths in Sadar Hospital till 10 pm on Sunday night, then two died overnight. The dead have been identified as (1) Naresh Bean (2) Janak Prasad (3) Ramesh Raut (4) Surendra Manjhi, (5) Lakshandev Ram till 3 pm on Monday. Apart from these, the news of death of (6) Jitendra Manjhi and (7) Raju Manjhi, who were referred to Patna, has also come. Siwan District Magistrate Amit Kumar Pandey has confirmed the death of five people so far, although the cause will be clear only after the post-mortem. Apart from these deaths, information about deaths is also coming from the village, in which the news of one’s dead body being burnt is also coming. From village, PHC to Sadar Hospital, 26 people are said to be ill from alcohol.
