Ingredients required to make brown rice
Onion- 2 chopped
Brown rice- 200 grams
Sugar- 2 tsp
Oil or ghee – 1 teaspoon
salt as per taste
Black pepper- 5-6 grains
Cinnamon- 1 small piece
Large cardamom- 1
Cloves-2-3
Bay leaf- 1
How to make brown rice
Wash brown rice thoroughly in water 2-3 times. Soak it in water for 1 hour. Put oil or ghee in a pan or cooker and heat it. Add chopped onion and fry until it turns golden brown. Now add sugar in it. Add whole spices like big cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, salt to it and fry for some time and then add some water. When water boils, add brown rice in it and cook on low flame for 10 minutes. Keep stirring occasionally otherwise it may stick to the cooker. If the rice seems raw then add a little more water and give it a whistle. Tasty and healthy fried brown rice recipe is ready. Enjoy eating it without vegetables or with vegetables in lunch or dinner.
