There was a horrific collision between a police vehicle and a tractor in Jamui, in which a police constable died tragically on the spot, while four soldiers including a woman SI were seriously injured. The incident took place near Mona Chimni located on Sikandra-Jamui main road under Sikandra police station area. The deceased was the driver of the police vehicle. The deceased has been identified as Saif Jawan Mahendra from Uttar Pradesh. Female sub-inspector Lakshmi Kumari, constables Dharmendra Sharma, Amit Kumar Singh and Janardan are seriously injured in this incident.

In relation to the incident, the injured soldiers say that the patrol vehicle of Sikandra police was going towards Jamui following three trucks. Meanwhile, while taking the pass, a police patrol vehicle collided head-on with a pipe-laden tractor. In this regard, local people said that there was a massive collision between the police patrol vehicle going from Sikandra towards Jamui and the tractor coming from the opposite direction. The collision was so severe that the police patrol vehicle overturned four times continuously on the roadside and was badly damaged. During this time, the driver of the police vehicle, Mahendra Kumar, died on the spot.
Condition of female sub inspector is critical
As soon as the collision occurred, people nearby ran and hurriedly took all the injured to Sikandra CHC. There the doctors provided first aid to all the injured and then considering their serious condition, referred all the injured soldiers to Sadar Hospital for better treatment. Meanwhile, the condition of woman Sub Inspector Lakshmi Kumari, who was seriously injured in the incident, is said to be critical. This incident has created a stir in the police department. As soon as information about the incident was received, many police officers including SDPO Satish Suman reached the spot and are investigating the matter.
