The people of this tribe also follow the practice of making mummies. Those who die here, their mummy is made and they are kept in the coffin. Like Dani tribe, Mursi tribe also has a similar tradition. The Mursi tribe, living in the Oman Valley near the South Ethiopia and Sudan border, remains in the news for its unique tradition. In fact, in the name of body modification, these people cut the lower lip of their women and put an earthen disc or wood in it. Here, at the age of 15-16, the girls of the tribe wear a disc on their lips. This body modification is known as lip-plate. Due to this, the women here have now become the center of attraction in the eyes of tourists from all over the world.
