Pritish Nandy Passes Away: Well-known film maker, poet and writer Pritish Nandy has passed away. Pritish has said goodbye to the world at the age of 73. Anupam Kher has given information about his demise through social media. He has expressed grief over Nandi’s demise by posting on X.

Anupam Kher has written- ‘I am very sad and shocked to know about the demise of Pritish Nandy, one of my dearest and closest friends. A wonderful poet, writer, filmmaker and a brave and unique editor and journalist, he was my support system and a great source of strength during my early days in Mumbai. We shared many things.

‘He was the true definition of a friend of friends…’
Anupam Kher further wrote- ‘He was one of the most fearless people I have met. Always larger than life. I learned a lot of things from him. We did not meet often for some time. But there was a time when we were together. I will never forget when he surprised me by putting me on the cover of Filmfare and more importantly, The Illustrated Welky. He was the true definition of a friend of friends. I will miss you and the times we spent together, my friend. Rest in peace.

Pritish Nandy’s career
Pritish Nandy was also a journalist who hosted a talk show named ‘The Pritish Nandy Show’ on Doordarshan in the 1990s. In this show he interviewed celebrities. He had made many films in the early 2000s under his banner Pritish Nandy Communications like ‘Sur’, ‘Kaante’, ‘Jhankar Beats’, ‘Chameli’, ‘Hazaron Khwaishein Aisi’, ‘Pyaar Ke Side Effects’. Apart from this, his company also produced the web series ‘Four More Shots Please’ and the anthology series ‘Modern Love Mumbai’.
