Four people abducted in Kech, Balochistan : According to The Balochistan Post, Pakistan’s security forces have been accused of kidnapping four people in Kech district of Balochistan. Their families have still not been able to know the whereabouts of these people. The victims have been identified as Ramzan Baloch, Shagrullah, Sher Jan Ishaq and Farooq Ishaq.

NADRA employee Ramzan Baloch was arrested in Mand at 7 pm on Monday (January 6). After Ramzan’s arrest, his family and supporters staged a protest in Hironk demanding his release and blocked the CPEC highway.

Whereas Shagrullah, son of Muhammad Ali Jamrani, was kidnapped from Shahi Tump on Tuesday (7 January) evening and since then he is missing. In a separate incident, two brothers Sher Jan Ishaq and Farooq Ishaq were forcibly disappeared after security forces raided their house in Apsar Bande Bazaar of Turbat on Monday (January 6) night.

The Ishaq family also revealed that their another son, Shams Ishaq, was forcibly disappeared three years ago and has been missing since then, The Balochistan Post reported.

Disappearances spark protests in Balochistan

The increasing incidents of missing people in Balochistan have given rise to protests. The families of the victims staged protests demanding the release of their relatives and also blocked major roads and highways of the city.

The purpose of these public actions is to raise awareness of the increasing cases of enforced disappearances and human rights violations. This protest of the people is showing the growing despair and frustration of the affected family and community members and is demanding immediate government intervention in this matter and punishment for those responsible.
