A shocking case has come to light from a state in America. In fact, the day an elderly woman in the state of Texas came to know that she had cancer, on the same day the doctor treated her and completely cured her. You might be feeling a bit strange to hear. But this is not a story, but the truth. April Boudreau, 61, was diagnosed with a tumor in her lung. Boudreau has already gone through cancer treatment thrice. She has fought Hodgkin lymphoma twice in 1984 and 1985 and breast cancer in 2002.
However, once again when she heard about a cancerous tumor in her lungs, she was stunned. April had an annual CT scan last year, in which it was revealed that she had a dangerous lump ie tumor in her right lung. Boudreau was undergoing a biopsy when doctors discovered lung cancer. As soon as cancer was detected, doctors started treatment and removed this tumor.

April was called to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital for follow-up tests. During a lung biopsy, the doctors found that the tumor in the lung was early stage cancer. Since the disease was detected at an early stage, the doctors immediately swung into action and decided to remove the cancerous tumour. That too when Boudreau was under local anesthesia. The medical team used a new minimally invasive thoracic surgery technique to remove Boudreau’s tumor. This technique uses robotically guided i.e. ultra-thin catheters to reach the target at difficult places in the lungs.
Treatment done without radiation and chemo
According to the New York Post report, April Boudreau said, ‘You cannot believe that this is true. It was all so easy that the treatment was done without any radiation or chemo. Doctors made five small incisions from the side to remove the tumor during Boudreau’s operation. Boudreau further said, ‘I had taken pain pills for three days. All I needed was that I should be cured within three days and I was. I can not believe it.’ Doctors have advised April to undergo CT scan every 6 months, so that the disease can be treated at an early stage. Let us tell you that lung cancer is a major cause of cancer deaths in the whole world.
