Bilawal Bhutto Zardari: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will visit Russia on Sunday (January 29) on a two-day visit and will discuss the entire bilateral relationship with his Russian counterpart. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has announced this on Saturday (January 28).
The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would visit Moscow at the invitation of his Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. He will hold official talks with his Russian counterpart, where the two sides will discuss the entire gamut of bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Negotiation on crude oil and oil products
Prior to this visit, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was on a visit to Pakistan last week by a Russian delegation led by Energy Minister Nikolai Sulginov to explore possibilities of providing oil to cash-strapped Pakistan. According to a joint statement, the two sides had agreed in principle to supply crude oil and oil products to Pakistan and technical details would be finalized in March this year.
Will help to accelerate the supply of oil
However, an official statement said that the two sides have agreed that the oil and gas trade transaction will be structured in such a way that it is of equal economic benefit to both the countries, after reaching a consensus on the technical specifications achieved. . This process is to be completed within March.
It is also believed that this phase of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto will help in increasing the supply of Russian oil to Pakistan. Recently, India has also sent an invitation to Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for the Foreign Minister’s level meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization to be held in Goa in May.
