Disclosing the gang solving the question papers of online recruitment examinations by hacking, Superintendent of Police (SP) Dehat Palash Bansal said that the Iglas police arrested three accused near Sanjay Pradhan’s kiln. When these people were caught, at that time these people were talking about solving the question paper.
During interrogation, the accused told that the leader of the gang is Gaurav, a resident of Javra police station, Mant district, Mathura. He solves the question paper. The role of Mathura resident Amit Sharma alias Yogesh Sharma, Jugendra Singh and Tappal resident Dharmendra Sharma is limited to locating the candidates, making money transactions with them and taking details like admit cards etc. All three have been sent to jail. The police is on the lookout for the gang leader Gaurav and two other members.
During interrogation, all three told that they used to fix a deal with a candidate for two and a half to three lakh rupees. So far, by breaking into more than 100 online recruitment examinations conducted across the country, they have solved question papers by taking money from hundreds of candidates. SP Dehat said that till now it has been revealed in the investigation that this gang used to crack the examination by using apps and software like screen mirror.
It has been told by the technical branch of the police that without breaking into the computers of the examination center, computers cannot be hacked in this way. On this basis, in the investigation of the police, the examination center administrator and other people associated with the examination are suspicious. All these have been included in the investigation.
A case has been registered against the gang in Iglas police station under sections 420, 120B and 66C of the IT Act. Three mobile phones, 22 admit cards (of different exams), two question paper seats have been recovered from the gang members. His call details are being scrutinized.
