The Intelligence Fusion Strategic Operations (IFSO) of Special Cell of Delhi Police has proved to be a boon for the people of the country. Through this, the police have saved Rs 163.84 crore from the people. This amount was cheated by the accused of financial fraud. Due to the timely information given by the victims to the Citizen Financial Fraud Portal Helpline (1930), the police blocked the amount in the banks even before it went into the bank accounts of the fraudsters. Now this helpline-1930, which is becoming helpful to people at large, is being expanded to all states, banks and digital platforms.
Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System (Citizen Financial Fraud Portal Helpline (1930)) has been developed by four ICs of Delhi Police to integrate law enforcement agencies and banks and financial intermediaries. This helpline was launched on April 1, 2021. Police across the country and all the banks of the country were linked to this portal.
IFSO DCP Prashant Gautam said that considering the success of the portal, it is being expanded. One, the helpline is operational in 28 states and union territories. Roll out to other states is underway for pan-national coverage to stop money flow by fraudsters. Not only this, all the banks of the country, UPI and digital ballot etc. are also being linked to this helpline. Banks and digital channels are also being contacted. He informed that the lines of the helpline are being increased. The currently running four lines are being increased to 12.
