‘Carter’ Film Review: Korean film ‘Carter’ shows violence like a dance performance

‘Carter’ Movie Review: Hindi remakes of South Korean films have been made. Sometimes good and sometimes very bad. In Korean films, the story may not be that good, but the style is completely different to make it, especially in action films. Whether it is Old Boy or Train to Busan, there is a special reason for the action in Korean films, only the hero will do sabki dhulai karta firega aisa nahi hota. According to the outline of the story, action becomes a part of the story.

There is innovation in this action. Not only are there new types of stunts, but new types of cameras as well as new techniques are also used to film them. Recently released on Netflix South Korean film “Carter” has used drones and chroma screens as well as amazing visual effects for action. This film of about two and a half hours is a heaven for those who like action films. Martial arts have been shot in full 360 degree with the help of drone camera, due to which the hearts of the viewers of the action reaches to the heart. If you are a fan of nonstop action movies then don’t forget to watch Carter.

Carter’s story is a bit confusing. Carter is actually Michael Benn, a missing CIA agent who was presumed dead during a mission in Syria. When Carter wakes up in a hotel in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, he does not remember anything, but a girl’s voice keeps coming in his ear, who tells him to find Dr. Jung. Carter doesn’t remember anything. Slowly he understands that a terrible virus has killed crores of people in America and South Korea and Dr. Jung has a cure for that virus because Dr. Jung used that antivirus on his daughter and she It was fine.

There are many obstacles in Carter’s way, including South Korea, the CIA, and the government of North Korea. Carter somehow manages to rescue Dr. Jung’s daughter and when he takes her to her destination, a transmitter fitted to her brain is removed, which restores her memory. Then he comes to know that his daughter has also been infected with this dangerous virus and to save her life, he has to find Dr. Jung and take anti virus. Then he has a fight with a general from North Korea who is actually misusing Carter. After a pitched battle, Carter boards a train to China with his wife, his daughter, Dr. Jung and his daughter. After eliminating all his enemies in the final battle, as Carter breathes a sigh of relief, the bridge ahead collapses and the train falls into it.

Joo Won plays Carter. He has sweated for hours in preparation for this role. He had not played any character in such action films before. He got immense fame and many awards for his character in a television series called Good Doctor. Carter is a completely different role for him. In this, he had to be constantly engaged in action and for that he had to prepare himself physically and mentally. Joo has played this character wonderfully. This kind of complete action, in films, brings Carter in the category of films like Kill Bill.

Blood has been shed like water, even in a bath-house, Carter washes at least 5 dozen martial artists, breaks someone’s head, breaks someone’s hand and cuts the neck with a sickle-like knife. . Action is the specialty of this film and this action has been shown with a purpose. Since Carter is a fighter and also specially trained by the CIA, his method of action is very different. Some action sequences look just like video games. At many places, the action has overshadowed the story and therefore the audience wants to take a breather for a while, but even then the action does not end.

The chase sequences of the train and helicopter in the climax have been shot in a wonderful way. Computer graphics have not been used in this, so these stunts become more dangerous. All the stunts ranging from unarmed combat to taking aim at a target sitting tens of meters away with a sniper rifle have been shot with the help of a drone camera, so if you watch this film on a large television, your head might start spinning.

This type of action is rarely seen, so special praise should be given to Bornstunt and Andreas Fronk that they have molded the story and soul of this film in a complete action. In combat in small corridors, especially Xu has done stunts beyond his physical capacity. His getup is also such that he looks comfortable in these scenes. The constant action may tire the audience as the pace of the story suddenly slows down when Carter regains his memory, but till then it is a difficult task to keep watching the action.

In Carter, violence is the story and there is only violence in the story, but complete arrangements have been made to justify the violence. The film has become worth watching because of Ju’s action and it is a must watch if you enjoy action films.
