Why Is The Train Sometimes Stopped At Outer Before Reaching The Station Know The Reason Behind This

Train On Outer: Sometimes it happens that as soon as the train is about to reach the station, it is stopped at the outer. Sometimes the train is kept standing here for one, two hours or more. Many times the passengers get so upset that they start arguing with the driver. But, they probably do not know that the driver is not responsible for stopping the train at the outer.

First of all, it is important to know that the driver of the train cannot run the train at his own will, if the signal is red then the driver cannot move the train forward. Today in this article, we will tell you why the train is stopped at the outer before reaching the station.

Platforms are fixed on the outer

Indian Railways is the fourth largest rail network in the world. Hundreds of trains operate daily in this huge network of about 68 thousand kilometers. In which there are many types of trains. Some trains are small and some are big. It means to say that some trains have fewer coaches and some have more. However, trains running for long distances have more coaches. For this reason, the platforms of these trains are also fixed, because it is not necessary that the length of all platforms is equal.

This problem increases due to late trains

Due to lack of track and increasing number of trains, most of the trains get late from their scheduled time. Suppose two trains have platform number 1 and one of them is late from its scheduled time. If both the trains have to be taken on the same platform, then one of them has to stop at the outer one. However, the effort remains that the train which is running on time is given priority to be taken on the platform or the special trains are given first priority.
