A speeding Honda Civic car fell on the roof of a Ford Eco Sport car coming from the other side after hitting the divider late Thursday night on Ring Road in IP Estate area. Mohd Suhail, who was driving the Civic, and Puneet Kohli, the driver of the Eco Sport, were killed in the accident, while Junaid and Rihan, two friends of Mohd Sohail, were seriously injured. Both are undergoing treatment in the hospital. Police have registered a case of death due to negligent driving.

Police officer says that preliminary investigation has revealed that the civic car driver lost control due to high speed. Due to this the car went uncontrolled and bounced on the other side after hitting the divider. Due to which the accident happened.

Police officials said that the incident took place at 1.12 am on Thursday. During investigation, it was found that the Eco Sport car was being driven by Puneet Kohli, a resident of Krishna Nagar in East Delhi. He was going by car from ITO towards Sarai Kale Khan.

Whereas, Mohammad Suhail, a resident of Chandni Mahal, Hauz Sai Wala, was driving a Honda Civic and his two friends, Junaid, a resident of Gali Nau Takhat Wali, and Rihan, a resident of Delight Cinema area, were coming towards ITO from Sarai Kale Khan. .

Police admitted all the injured to Lok Nayak Hospital. Where the doctors declared Suhail dead. Whereas Puneet was referred to AIIMS. Where he died during treatment.

Suhail was returning from Okhla after having food.

Suhail was coming home after having dinner with his friends at the time of the incident. Suhail’s cousin Nafees Ahmed told that Suhail had gone to Okhla in a car with his friends at 11 pm on Friday night. From where he is coming home after having food. Suhail’s brother told that he came to know about the accident at 2.30 am.
