Now transgenders will also be able to do government jobs in Madhya Pradesh, separate category created for application

The Madhya Pradesh government has taken a big step for the transgender community. The government has decided that now a separate category will be created for the transgender community in government jobs in Madhya Pradesh. In fact, earlier, in the form to be filled for government jobs in this state, there was only the option of male and female, but now another option has been added to it. This option is for transgender category. Madhya Pradesh government has done this wonderful work on Friday under the Transgender (Protection of Rights) Rules-2021. People’s thinking about gender ie transgenders is changing. The society is also accepting them with open arms. This is the reason that now avenues are opening for them in government jobs as well. There was a place in government jobs for the transgender community in West Bengal before Madhya Pradesh. The West Bengal government had last year decided to allow people from the transgender community to apply for government jobs under the general category.

Maharashtra also has a law

Tell you In November last year, the Mumbai bench of the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (MAT) directed the state government to reserve a post of sub-inspector in the police department for transgenders. At the same time, India’s first transgender judge, Joyita Mandal, while talking to the media on this issue, said that it is very important to give reservation in government jobs to the transgender community. He had said that the society’s attitude towards them would change with the entry of transgenders in areas like police force and railways. Let me tell you that even today people in the society shy away from giving the respect they deserve to transgenders. So if they come in such jobs and work in the middle of the society, it will also change the social thinking.
